AmCham aims to grow membership

The AmCham Coral Sea after its launching in the country is now looking at growing its membership network by providing valuable events and services planned for the coming months.

Initial activities will include a corporate breakfast in the coming months and the launch of an informational events series for members.

Other services that will be launched include a corporate visa program to support members to more conveniently secure U.S visas, a discount program, a B2B services and networking for members, a one-stop-shop for doing business with the U.S, and a training series.

It is anticipated these services will roll out over the next year.

AmCham advised that all application requirements and its membership process can be found on its website.

Interested businesses can apply as a large, medium, or small corporate member and individuals may apply for an individual/entrepreneur membership.

Applicants will be reviewed by the membership committee and approved by the board of directors.
The board of directors consists of Geoff Lawrence of Twenty20 Energy Systems, Ian Clough of Brian Bell, John Nilkare of SP Brewing, Peter Larden of ExxonMobil PNG, Peter Burnie of PwC, Ryan Mikkelson of Hilton Hotels, Dianne Peliokai of Deloitte, and Duncan Lowe of Airswift.

AmCham strategic plan 2022-2024 is to promote sustainable economic growth, foreign investment, and greater opportunities for U.S and Pacific countries in the Coral Sea.

AmCham is the first association in the Coral Sea region (PNG, Solomon Islands, and Vanuatu) that is focused on engagement with U.S. business opportunities, partnerships, and investment.
