For the seventh year in a row, Delta scored 100% on the Disability Equality Index, ranking it as one of the nation’s “Best Places to Work for Disability Inclusion.”
The index is a joint initiative of the American Association of People with Disabilities and the U.S. Business Leadership Network that scores leading U.S. corporations on their disability inclusion policies and practices.
The 2022 Disability Equality Index measured culture and leadership; enterprise-wide access; employment practices (benefits, recruitment, employment, education, retention and advancement and accommodations); community engagement; supplier diversity; and non-U.S. operations.
“We want every employee who walks through our doors to know that they have an ally in promoting inclusion, respect for differences, equal opportunity and diversity in the workplace,” said Meg Taylor, Delta’s V.P. and Chief Litigation & Employment Counsel and Executive Sponsor of the ABLE Disability Business Resources Group. “This honor is important because it reflects the advancements Delta has made to better serve employees with disabilities and our ongoing commitment to accessible travel.”

Through its ABLE Disability Business Resource Group and its Advisory Board on Disability, Delta has worked to create a more inclusive and equitable environment for both its employees and customers.
Recent steps to achieve this goal include the new, one-of-a-kind Travel Confidently MSP Education Center that Delta collaborated on with the Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport. The facility enhances the Navigating MSP program by providing flyers with sensory, physical or cognitive disabilities, those with fear of flying, and service dogs in training a place to experience and become familiar with an aircraft cabin in a serene setting.
The 2022 “Best Place to Work for Disability Inclusion” honor is only one of many accolades Delta has earned over the last year. As a “Best Workplace for Diversity,” Delta has been recognized as a “Best Workplace for Women” by Great Place to Work and Fortune for three years in a row, “Top-Rated Workplaces for Veterans” by Indeed, and “Best Place to Work for Disability Inclusion,” receiving a top score of 100% on the 2018 Disability Equality Index (DEI).
